Hockey was a big part of Brent’s life. Brent and his friend, Andrew played on the same team and line since they were 10 years old. They forged a lasting and heartfelt friendship and epitomized what sportsmanship was all about. They played good competitive hockey at every level but were unable to achieve their dream of junior hockey. That did not deter them and they pursued the game every year and the year of Brent’s crash, they were playing on three different teams. Minor hockey is all about that! Learning the game, building character, PLAY, developing relationships and respect for others through a wonderful sense of community! Brent was referred to for 10 + years as Andrew’s Wingman. The strong bond between Brent, the Wingman, and Andrew, is forever immortalized in a "Wingman for Life" crest Andrew proudly has had tattooed on his shoulder after Brent's crash in March 2006. We will never forget our "Wingman" and aim high to promote minor sports in his honor, for kids everywhere!
