We want to keep the memory of Brent alive and Brent would be proud to be assisting these beneficiaries in helping others.

Hunting Hills High School
Brent, his siblings and many of his close friends attended this school. Education was important to Brent and he enjoyed his school years very much. In his honor we will be offering a Scholarship to HHHS.

Red Deer Golf and Country Club

Brent started out in the junior program at Red Deer Golf and Country Club and went on to work there throughout his school years. It was here that he not only learned to golf but also learned the social skills and discipline that made him a fine young man. It would be special for him to provide a Scholarship to a member of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club golf program.

Red Deer College
Brent completed the business program at the Red Deer College and Athabasca University. He had an active social life and tutored others in his program. Brent would be honored to keep assisting other Red Deer College students by offering a Scholarship to worthy students.

MADD

Brent planned on a career in law enforcement. MADD works very closely with law enforcement in attempting to reduce impaired driving. Brent was killed by an impaired driver. He would be thrilled to assist MADD in preventing impaired driving. His Foundation will be donating to MADD in their fight against impaired driving and hopefully preventing others from any similar tragedies like we are forced to live with. The loss of a child is a parent's worst nightmare. Drunk Driving is no accident.

Compassionate Friends

We struggle with our loss of Brent. We did endless reading and research on the subject of grief and grieving. Our Church has provided us with much comfort, support and prayers, on a regular basis. We received professional counselling from three different counsellors that helped and comforted us. Our family and friends are invaluable to us.

We were referred to The Compassionate Friends, which connected us with other parents who have experienced the pain and heartache that we face each day. The Compassionate Friends of Canada is an International, non-profit, non-denominational, self help organization. They offer friendship, understanding, grief education, and HOPE for the future to all families who have experienced the death of a child at any age, from any cause.

It is our desire to help other parents and families who have lost a child. Therefore, we will be using funds from the Nev Foundation to assist Compassionate Friends in their quest to help others.

Other Charities
It is our dream that the Nev Foundation keeps growing, and as it does, we plan to expand donations from the foundation to assist other National Charities and Post Secondary Education Scholarships.
